Canine, from the latin Canidae, means being of the family of carnivorous mammals that includes dogs, wolves, jackals and foxes. Of all the land mammals known to man, there are few that come into direct contact with us; even fewer that touch our hearts. From the dawn of time, wolves began following man as a means of survival. As time went by the wolf became nothing more than a wild dog, and from wild dog, became what we now know today, the domesticated and often pampered pooch.
